Laginappe Services Voting Precinct
No. 25 and No. 26 For the convenience of our residents, City Hall is a voting place for residents living in the incorporated area of Scott and the unincorporated area. Other places to vote in Scott are at Scott Middle School, and Acadiana High School.
Food for the Elderly
Food for Seniors Program In order to be eligible to apply for this program, you must be at least 60 years old, and meet certain program requirements. Once accepted into the program, food will be distributed once a month at City Hall. For more information about this program please contact, Shelley Gautreau at 337-233-1130.
Life Screening
Approximately once a year, the City of Scott will have the Life Screening Tests available at City Hall.
Toys for Tots
Every Christmas, the Marine Corp. Reserve campaigns for toy donations for children at Christmas time. The City of Scott is one of the distribution centers for them, and for the past 9 years, the city has collected new toys for them from mid-November through mid-December. "After all, every child deserves a little Christmas."
Applications for a child to receive toys are taken at Scott City Hall. For more information, contact Shelley M. Gautreau at 337-233-1130.
Yard Waste Policy City Will Pick Up - Only Curbside
- Limbs - Trees limbs up to 18 inches in diameter and no longer than 4 feet long.
- Stacks should be placed no further than 15 feet from curb.
- Limbs should be stacked neatly at curb, not obstructing street or drainage.
City Will Not Pick Up
- Grass
- Hedge Trimmings
- Leaves
- Hedge Bushes
- Vines
- Large root balls, bamboo, banana trees, or palm trees
- Appliances or any construction materials
